Hello, and welcome.
Once again, the fine Googlers at Google have found it prudent to give me a beta test of their newest product, Google Page Creator,just as they did with GMail way, way back, oh, two years ago.
This time, I swear to use the power only for good, and never for evil.
In the very brief time this page has been in existence, people have already asked , "Hey, Don... you create web sites. Isn't Google Page Creator, being FREE and all, pretty much going to put you out of business?"
Well, sure. Like a one-page site is all anyone needs. No, this is not at all a threat, it is a HUGE relief. Dig how nice this page looks. Catch how nice ALL the Google Page Creator templates look. Recall how all of the Blogspot, Blogger, blah, blah, blah pages look these days as compared to the Photshop/Dreamweaver-driven image-laden hell of the past. Finally, after more than ten years of design horror, as if the whole world wide web was being published by global cabal of teenage boys on Code Red, we finally have design and readability entering the mainstream. And it's about time.
So, here we are with yet another killer app from Google that will change the way people act on the web. And they will act tastefully. Want a contrast? Can anyone say "geocities"?
